The Quantitative Skills Requirement

To ensure that graduates of BUonline are equipped with appropriate skills, all students are required to complete a course which uses mathematical or statistical analysis of quantitative data as an important method for understanding another subject. In these Quantitative Skills Courses, students will learn to think critically about quantitative data and the inferences that can be drawn from these data. Students will gain experience with the use of quantitative analysis to interpret empirical data and to test hypotheses.

To satisfy this requirement students must take one of the designated Quantitative Skills Courses . A course used to satisfy the Quantitative Skills Requirement may also be used to satisfy the General Requirement and/or major requirements. In order for the course to count for this requirement, the student must achieve a grade of C or better.
