There is a common first semester for full-time students

  • Students are required to have completed or be currently studying the foundation units before enrolling in second year courses.
  • The student must have completed Comm 1125 or Comm 1130 and have taken or be enrolled in at least two additional communication courses to apply for the communications major.
  • The student's cumulative GPA will be taken into account at the time of application to the communication major. A cumulative GPA of less than 2.0 is considered beneath the standard for admission to major.
  • Fourteen courses make up the minimum requirement for the major.
